4. Wait 5 minutes and read the results. Supervise two color lines: control line and test line. Control line is marked “C”; and test line is marked "T".

Positive result: Control line appears and test line does not.

Negative result: Control and test line both emerge. Test line color may vary; it can be lighter or darker than the control line. Results are still negative.

Invalid: The drug test is invalid if control line is not visible in five minutes time. The drug device failed for some reason or the procedure was followed with faults. Verify the test procedure attentively; then repeat the drug test procedure correctly with a new device.
